Lee Edward Ackley
A versatile leader, Lee has served as Webelos Den Leader, Cubmaster, Committee Member, Scoutmaster, Crew Advisor, and currently, as Assistant Scoutmaster. He also has been a Camporee Chairman and a leader on three different treks to Philmont Scout Ranch.
An Order of the Arrow member, he has earned the Scouter's Key, the adult God and Country Award, Scouter's Training Award, District Award of Merit, Wood Badge, and has served as a Merit Badge Counselor and has been on the staff for Cub 'N' Pal.
He is active in his church as Youth Director, staff for church camps, and leader of the church Mission to New Orleans. He is a retired Air Force Major.
Known for his high level of planning and management and quality of leadership over the last 27 years, Troop 22 Assistant Scoutmaster Lee Edward Ackley is recognized by the Northwest Texas Council, Boy Scouts of America, with the Silver Beaver Award.
Jim Allen Adams
A Scouter for the last 38 years, Jim has served in many positions such as Den Leader, Webelos Den Leader, Cubmaster, Assistant Scoutmaster, Roundtable Commissioner, and currently, as Committee Chairman. He attends Troop meetings, campouts, and summer camp. He has been to Camporees, Philmont Scout Ranch, and the Northern Tier Canoe Base.
This Scouter is a member of the Order of the Arrow and has earned Wood Badge and the District Award of Merit.
He is active in his church, in the Disabled American Veterans, and in the American Legion.
For sharing his Scouting knowledge with Troop 108 in Nocona, Texas, at the age of 79 and exemplifying the values we teach our Scouts, the Northwest Texas Council, Boy Scouts of America, is proud to present the Silver Beaver Award to Jim Allen Adams.
